Roberto Bocchetti
was born in Milan (Italy) on the 7th of August, 1968. He started to go
to a gym when he was 16, and has never stopped since then.....
In 1993 he decided
to transform his passion into a career: he took his first diploma as a
bodybuilding instructor with NABBA (National Amateur Body Building
Association) and started to work with his friends and relatives. In the
following years, he attended some seminars on bodybuilding, fitness,
cardio training and stretching and decided to become self-employed.
In 1999 he attended
a course of Sports Massage with the Italian Association HLF (Healhty
Life & Fitness). In 2001 he attended another course for
Antistress Massage, followed by some seminars on deep tissue massage,
neck-shoulder-back treatment and rehabilitation.
In 2005 he attended
some seminars in nutrition, weight control management, body composition
analysis and sports nutrition, and he became a distributor of PRO
ACTION, the leading brand in Italy of sports supplements.
In 2006, as a
recognition of all his studies, he became a member of AIPT-ASSOCIAZIONE
ITALIANA PERSONAL TRAINERS (Italian Association of Personal Trainers),
a prestigious association member of FIF (Federazione Italiana Fitness),
the Italian Fitness Association, recognised by EFA (European Fitness
Association).
In 2008 Roberto
became an
associate member of ACE (American Council on Exercise), an associate
member of The Sports Massage Association and he attended the course "PT
Set 4 Success" with Fitness First in London.
In addition,
Roberto writes a regular column about fitness on the monthly magazine
"Lui", and he has written some articles for the weekly
magazine "Novella 2000". He has been featured on the
daily newspaper "24 minuti" on 29th February 2008 and on the
website of "Corriere
della Sera", the most important daily newspaper in Italy.
In
June 2006 he decided to move to Playa del Ingles, Gran Canaria. The
island life has been very good: Roberto enjoyed every minute of it but,
after two years, Gran Canaria started to be a bit too narrow for
him.
In June 2008, just
two months before his 40th Birthday, he decided he needed a
new challenge in life: he left Gran Canaria and moved to
London.
He now
lives near Clapham Junction
Station (SW11); he has registered with Inland Revenue as a sole
trader/self employed and he has set up his new business in
London.
His aim is
to continue to do what he enjoys most in life: working as a
massage therapist and personal trainer, in order to help other people
to get in shape and improve the quality of their lives. He is
currently working as a freelance personal trainer at Fitness
First Clapham Junction Station.
His motto is "Add
years to your life and life to your years!"
Roberto speaks
English, Italian (his mother language),
Spanish, French and a little German.
